For and on behalf of the editors, HTU Proceedings 2007
Alasdair Allan
Rob Seaman
Josh Bloom
Initial Paper Submission Deadline: 31ST AUGUST 2007
The proceedings will be published as the MARCH 2008 issue of Astronomische Nachrichten.
Each speaker is initially allowed 3 pages, and each poster 2 pages. It's likely that there will be "extra" pages available for authors that feel that this would be beneficial/essential to their write-up as not all speakers have chosen to submit papers to the volume, please email the editors if you would like to take advantage of these extra pages for your paper. That said, there is a strict page limit for the proceedings of 140 pages, and the editors decision is final. Some pages may be available "at the last minute" so you might be able to expand your paper if you're prepared to work to a tight deadline.
All communications to the editors should be sent to Alasdair Allan and Cc'd to Rob Seaman and Josh Bloom.
Please note that ALL submission to the proceedings will be refereed and, as in any submission to a refereed journal, the editors will not over rule the paper referee unless there is a very strong reason to do so...
The initial submission deadline for papers is the 31ST AUGUST 2007.
You papers will then be passed to a referee. Please note that we're all serving as referees for the proceedings, so if you attending the meeting it is likely that you may receive one or more papers to referee. If you submitted a paper to the proceedings it is almost guaranteed that you will receive a paper to referee.
The deadline for referees reports will be the 30TH SEP 2007.
The deadline for final camera ready copy which both the referee and the author agree is fit for publication is the 31ST OCTOBER 2007 to allow the editors time to collate the papers, format for style and correct typos ahead of the final editorial deadline where camera ready copy must be passed to Wiley Publishing for inclusion in the journal.
