on-going work:
level sets
This is a first result from the Level Sets segmentation work. This is a model of a 12-day-old mouse embryo extracted from an MR scan from the Caltech Biological Imaging Center. The red structures are its brain ventricles. The blue structure is the liver.
mesh extraction
An adaptive, multiresolution triangle mesh extracted from a level set segmentation of an electron tomogram of a spiny dendrite.
parallel volume rendering
Through the use of specialized hardware placed in an small computing cluster, interactive volume rendering of a 512x512x512 12bit volume has been achieved at frame rates exceeding 24fps.
parallel display
Using software genlocking a 5-node Linux cluster displays a 3840x2400 image in parallel to a four-stripe IBM T221 display.
