Rothenburger Bernard, INRIA/IRIT Title: "How to Maintain Intelligibility of Scientific Archives using Ontolgy and Text" Abstract: In this talk, we present how we may simultaneously use formal ontology based and textual based knowledge in order to evaluate how the second one fits the first one. Such connection aims to maintain the documents intelligibility when writers and readers are culturally distant. We will tackle several aspect of this problem. We describe a concrete application for our approach: an auditing device of large scientific data archives built in order to preserve their understandability. We also characterize required properties for ontological or terminological resources which match our objective. Finally, we present theoretical, practical and methodological tools we will use to perform the mapping of the two kind of knowledge.
