Ed Shaya, U. of Maryland Title: The Astronomical e-Brain Abstract: The Astronomical e-Brain The datacenter/SQL e-library is obiously analogous to a library. You find information by entering a library(datacenter), localize the right book(table), and hunt for the appropirate chapter(column). This talk describes an OWL/SPARQL architecture which is more analogous to a brain. You focus on the physical objects and their properties of interest and a flow of highly specified facts and figures arrive from anywhere in this e-brain. Later, if you are interested, you can find out where each fact came from. The UMD OWLViper app is how one initiates a thought graphically. Tags: , , , |
